Today's programme is all about the risen Jesus appearing to two disciples, and opening their eyes to prophetic words in scripture, while they were travelling on the road to Emmaus, and our programme ends with this lovely prayer by Nathan Bierma.
Open our eyes too, Lord.
Without the gift of your revelation,
our eyes are kept from recognizing you.
Appear before us, suddenly, unexpectedly, in all your glory.
So that we, too, may proclaim to a world in despair,
that we have seen the risen Lord. Amen.
